Sen. Jim Webb just got an important GI bill passed for returning soldiers from Iraq to receive support for an education.  His son is serving in Iraq.  He himself was Secretary of Navy for Ronald Reagan, though he is a Democrat now.  He took himself out of the running for the VP slot with Obama.
