Terra Naomi is “Not Sorry”

Terra Naomi is back with a new single, “Not sorry.”  She also bares her soul again on her blog, seeming somewhat fed up with some emails she has received.  This is a cool song, but isn’t the lighting on the video kind of dim?

    Terra has added another blog – an open letter to Amy Winehouse over her drug problems. It’s a nicely balanced piece of dark humour about the realities of being an addict and the minor and major humiliations that you go through in rehab. Terra having been there and understanding what it is like, is far too clever to think that words of encouragement or rational argument will make any difference at this distance. Instead it conveys some of the obsessions and outlook of a mind and body going through the rehab process. It’s a sort of one flew over the cuckoos nest type look at the experience with it’s little rules, minor grabs for a little independence.

    It’s particularly fascinating as Terra and Amy have got quite a lot in common. Both signed of Island, both Jewish, both young, tattooed, both rebellious and close to their respective fathers, despite their tribulations.
