Just another sign of the influence YouTube has had on politics. UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and his Labour Party have set up their own channel on YouTube. I think they need to buy a better video camera, though, because the first video from Blair is a little grainy.
What next? George W. Bush on YouTube.

Hi Tony, this is really wonderful. You shall be missed as the Prime Minister and I wish you well in all your endeavours… You did a lot for immigrants, and so many do appreciate you. Yes, you have flaws, so does everyone. Much love…

Dear Tony,
Sorry I did not know about your birthday and could not wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope this will suffice. I do wish for you a Happy Birthday and many more for years to come.

What a wonderful idea! I think this venue is perfect for communicating with the many people out here about your party’s aims. I think you have great style and charm…as well as a good, brave heart with kind intent…in fact I have you posted as one of my top favorite friends on myspace! I wish you great success with this new medium!

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, This is a wonderful idea. You make a good point–that through UTube we can learn exactly what people in the news are saying, without the spin of the media.
I’d like to know if you’ve any suggestions for political candidates on how to handle “gotcha journalism.” Seems even complaints from the public do not dissuade yellow-journalists.
Barack Obama has done well by just stating his case and delivering articulate explanations. There are those who criticize, afterwards, but still, he gains support.
I have the impression you did the same.
However, often, after brilliant and informative speeches or interviews, one hears the most ludicrous negative reaction. How did you stay focussed, after negative reaction?
