News: A Harris poll of adult Internet users in the U.S. found that 69% said they don’t go to YouTube’s site. 22% said they used YouTube for less than an hour a week, and 2% for more than 5 hours per week. (More here)
Analysis: These are interesting numbers, but it’s hard to say how significant (or not) they are without a baseline for comparison. For example, it would be nice to know if US adults visit some other website in much higher percentage. 30% could turn out to be pretty high for a media site (excluding search engines). Also, to get the full picture, the survey would include teens, and, if possible, other countries.
