Is Esmee Denters the next YouTube idol?
Imagine this: an 18-year-old girl in the Netherlands sitting in front of her karaoke machine and singing fearlessly into her low quality webcam. Within just two months, she’s posted 37 videos so far that have drawn over 1.5 million views on YouTube. Each video draws tens of thousands of views within the week it’s posted.
Her name is Esmee Denters (”Ez-May”), and she may well be the most talented, undiscovered singer on YouTube today. Her webcam is pretty shoddy, both in the visual and audio, but her voice is soulful and sweet. You can judge for yourself, Esmee’s latest video clip.

Esmee certainly has shown that youtube can be an excellent vehicle, if a person is looking for an audience. She sings nicely. She’s good looking. She also comes across as just a regular person….which I think viewers can relate to.
If I was a recording exec……I’d be knocking on Esmee’s door, with a contract in hand.

This girl is CRAZY talented! She has skills that legends in music don’t even come close to having. I’m a huge fan. I’m trying desperately to get a national show to air one of her videos, but I’m just a person with no connections. I’m going to email The Ellen show - she shows youtube videos every Wednesday. I’m also going to try to contact Inside Edition - they are fond of doing stories on people who are cyber stars. Please, anyone who reads this, please take the time to shoot emails and a youtube link to your local radio station, record label…anyone who will listen! We, the people… can help this young girl launch a career. Anyone know Clive Davis’s email at RCA? lol

oh my god, esmee is one of the best and talented singers on youtube. Her singing range is absolutly fantastic. Its only the inevitable when we see esmee before our eyes on the TV. She is just raw talent and her uniqueness is exactly what the music industry needs. Go esmee, everyones behind you!!!

hola, me llamo Eduardo y soy español. no tengo palabras, la verdad es que me ha dejado muy sorprendido con su forma de cantar, es increible, y solo tiene 18 años. no tardará mucho en publicar un primer album. a mi me ha dejado realmente sorprendido, ya he visto casi todos sus videos y me dejan todos igual de bien, es relajante el oirla cantar. mucha suerte.
